Superfood Overnight Oats Recipe by Fitness Guru Holland Smith!

If there’s one thing I know will fuel my body and keep me satisfied all morning, it’s overnight oats. Overnight oats are quick, easy, delicious, and can be prepared in hundreds of different ways!

Right now I’m currently obsessed with this recipe, that I like to call, “Superfood Overnight Oats.” This breakfast is fantastic for providing the body with lots of fiber, Omega-3’s, protein, and antioxidants. It’s truly a bowl of superfoods! Enjoying this healthy and hearty breakfast will not only provide your body with lots of energy, but it can aid in promoting good long-term health!

Serving Size - 1 | Protein - 15g ; Carbs - 45 g ; Fat - 18 g |

Ingredients

1/2 cup Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
1 cup Unsweetened Original Almond Milk (or your choice of milk)
1 tbsp Whole Chia Seeds - rich in antioxidants, fiber, and Omega-3’s
1 tbsp Ground Flaxseeds - high in fiber, low in carbs and great for healthy hair and skin
1 tsp Maca Powder - rich in amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and is said to boost your mood
1 tbsp nut butter (I used peanut butter, but almond or cashew butter works too!)
1 tsp stevia (or other healthy sweeteners like honey or maple syrup)
4 medium strawberries (or your choice of berry) - rich in antioxidants
Optional - top with 1 tbsp cocoa nibs or 1 tbsp of chopped almonds
Side note: If you want an extra dose of protein, feel free to add 1/2 cup of greek yogurt or 2 - 3 egg whites! If you know you’re going to be active throughout the day, the extra protein might be a great addition to your breakfast!

Preparation

In a mason jar or container with a lid, combine all ingredients and stir until thoroughly mixed. Top with strawberries and your choice of cocoa nibs or chopped almonds. Refrigerate for 4 - 8 hours or overnight. Enjoy!
