Let’s face it: athletic wear isn’t just for working out anymore. From grocery shopping to casual coffee dates, athleisure has become my go-to. That’s why I’m all about finding outfits that work inside the gym and out—what I like to call studio to street style. Whether you're hitting a hot yoga class or just running errands, let’s explore some outfits that keep up with your day without needing a full wardrobe change.
Here are two of my favorite looks for staying comfy, cute, and ready for whatever the day brings.
Outfit Combination #1: Matching Set + Light Jacket
There’s just something about matching sets—they make you look instantly put together without even trying! Plus, they make an amazing base layer that you can add accessories and color to.
The Studio Look
Go out and get a matching set of any color, and trust me, you’ll be adding more of these to your workout wardrobe. A simple high-waisted pair of leggings and a longline sports bra will do the trick. I personally love this matching black set. The neutral color matches everything, and the material is soft and stretchy while still being supportive.
Pro-tip: Even if you have a top and a bottom of the same color, two different types of fabric could affect how cohesive the outfit looks overall. Purchasing the set together ensures your outfit will look as sleek and put-together as possible.
The Street Look
Throw on your favorite shades, cross-body bag, or a colorful outer layer to spice it up. This periwinkle Sculpt It Studio Jacket is perfect for just that. Now you’re ready for that coffee date!
Outfit Combination #2: Breathable Tee + Leggings
Let’s be real. Some days, you just want to throw on something loose and comfortable. That’s where the classic t-shirt and leggings combo comes in. And don’t worry—there are easy ways to keep it from feeling too basic. With a few simple changes, this combination will have you looking effortlessly cute while still being practical to work out in.
The Studio Look
This look is perfect for low-impact workouts or recovery days when you just feel like taking a nice, long walk. Pair a lightweight t-shirt like this one with some capri leggings. Make sure to wear a sports bra underneath, and you've got options—keep the tee on during your workout or throw it on after for an easy switch-up.
The Street Look
After your workout, throw on that t-shirt over your sports bra, and you’re ready to go.
Pro-tip: A “basic” t-shirt doesn’t have to be…well, basic. Choose a t-shirt with a bright color, interesting pattern, or unique texture to add visual intrigue to a simple outfit. This will keep your look fresh while remaining super comfortable. I love this Luxesoft Oversized Tee because of the stylish heathered fabric.
Whether you’re going from savasana to Starbucks or from pilates to picking up the kids from school, a versatile athleisure outfit will help you look and feel your best while keeping it simple.
We hope this gave you a little inspiration for your next post-workout look—easy, functional, and still totally cute!
