ACTIVE PROGRESS TAKES PRACTICE Ever since my honeymoon, I've thrown off my sleep schedule. I've been going to bed between 11pm and 1am *gasp*... My normal sleep routine consists of prepping for bed around 8pm and being in bed by 9:30pm at the latest. It's not easy going to bed early! I totally get that... Especially if going to sleep after 10pm is normal for you. As I'm training my body to get back into a regular sleep routine, I thought I'd share some tips below! 💤 SET IT AND FORGET IT / Schedule your phone to go on DND or on Focus (on iPhones) 1-2 hours before your ideal bedtime. Since you're not seeing your notifications, you become less inclined to check your phone. Less blue-light emission equals a an easier transition to deeper sleep. 💤 BE CONSISTENT / Set a consistent goal with yourself.. Your body isn't going to want to go bed early. It will take practice. 💤 HABIT CHECK / what's the latest time you intake caffeine? What alternatives can you try to keep you going in the daytime? I.e., a quick walk outside (increased blood flow, vitamin D). 💤BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT YOUR WIND DOWN TIME / It won't be easy but as long as you're making intentional efforts to try, that's progress.
